Megaflora uses a small number of providers to operate its sites and hosted services. This page describes what each provider does and the information it may process.

The word “subprocessor” is used here for convenience. A provider may instead act as an independent business or controller for a service it provides directly to you, particularly payment processing. See each provider’s policy for details.

Core service providers

Hetzner

Purpose: Hosts Serial’s application servers in the United States.

Information involved: Account and product information processed by the application, network request information, and application error logs.

Turso

Purpose: Hosts Serial’s production database in the United States and provides point-in-time recovery.

Information involved: Serial account records, product content and preferences, authentication records, subscription identifiers, and other information stored in the hosted database.

Bunny.net

Purpose: Provides the global content-delivery network for Megaflora’s public websites.

Information involved: IP address, request headers, requested public assets or pages, timestamps, and related delivery and security logs. Requests may be processed at Bunny.net locations around the world.

Resend

Purpose: Delivers Serial’s verification, password-reset, account, and essential service emails.

Information involved: Recipient email address, message contents, delivery status, and related email metadata.

Polar

Purpose: Provides checkout, subscription management, the billing portal, and payment processing.

Information involved: Customer and subscription identifiers, email address, plan and transaction details, billing information, and payment information provided directly to Polar. Megaflora does not receive complete payment-card details.

User-chosen third parties

GitHub, Instapaper, YouTube, feed publishers, and other integrations or external content providers are not subprocessors merely because a user chooses to interact with them. They receive information under their own terms when a user connects an integration, opens external content, or plays embedded media.
